About

I’m Margaret Sheridan-Wallis — usually known as Margi to my friends and followers — a writer and creator whose work has always grown out of a simple purpose: helping people find their footing, discover their strengths, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Much of what I share now is shaped by a long, happy marriage and family life, and by the renewed purpose that comes from being widowed and wanting to pass on the best of my experience to others.

Throughout my life, my work has taken many forms, each shaped by curiosity, research, and a desire to make practical support more accessible to ordinary people. My path has included roles such as:

• Student and postgraduate researcher, exploring psychology, learning, and the conditions that genuinely support human growth

• Teacher and headteacher, specialising in special education, literacy, the full spectrum of giftedness, and neurodiversity — always with a focus on children’s wellbeing, inclusion, and family partnerships

• Parent, now with eight grandchildren, experiencing the reality and richness of raising and supporting an extended family

• Advocate for adults with limited literacy skills, helping people — including prisoners — build confidence, communication, and new possibilities

• Supporter of individuals with special needs, ensuring they were understood, included, and offered meaningful pathways forward

• Prison visitor, offering presence, encouragement, and hope to those trying to rebuild their lives under difficult circumstances

• Parent and life coach, helping families understand behaviour, neurodiversity, communication, and emotional connection

• Presenter and workshop leader, sharing informed, practical strategies with schools, families, and community groups

• Writer and digital creator, developing guides, journals, PDFs, courses, and resources that support learning, wellbeing, and creative independence — including for those who want to share their knowledge or explore flexible online work

I also enjoy helping people recognise their own skills, experience, and creative strengths. Many of my digital projects support those who want to share their insights, create content, or build gentle, adaptable ways of working online in small steps that suit their lives. Everything I create now — whether it’s a guide, a course, a journal, or a simple idea shared online — is rooted in the same aim: to offer informed, practical support that helps people and families feel steadier, clearer, and more hopeful about their next step.
